Kelly Cooper is a Brooklyn-based writer, actor comedian and playwright from Sacramento, California.

She is the co-head writer and producer of Ground Floor Comedy, a digital platform for sketch comedy videos. For Ground Floor, she has written, produced or acted in, in some capacity, over 60 sketch videos.

Kelly is a cast member of the Ladies Who Ranch, who perform new monthly original material at the Brooklyn Comedy Collective, and also host a weekly open mic at Brooklyn DIY space Vital Joint. Kelly has also written for, acted in and produced three half-hour specials for Brooklyn Public Access (BRIC): Wet Tux (writer, actor) SMEG (creator, actor, producer), and acted in NRA TV (actor).

Kelly has performed stand-up, improv and sketch comedy at places and shows like College Humor Live, 2017 Brooklyn Comedy Festival, UCB, The Annoyance New York, The PIT, The Duplex, and other less-established basements. She’s is the co-creator of The Dramedians, which had a cool New York Times preview. She also writes and performs plays with her theater ensemble Two Guys, Two Girls, and has written and starred in several other plays. Kelly has also been a guest on MNN’s The Special Without Brett Davis, and was a cast member of The Annoyance’s flagship improv team Michael Jordan Steakhouse.

Kelly has studied comedy at Columbia University (TV writing), The Barrow Group (playwriting, acting), The Brooklyn Comedy Collective (improv), The Annoyance (improv, sketch), the Upright Citizens Brigade (improv, sketch), SVA (acting) and probably a few other places. She studied printing in college.

She is genuinely nice because she’s too Catholic not to be. Say hi to her on Twitter at
